Goldie Lookin Chain in Edinburgh

Goldie Lookin Chain are a Welsh comedy hip-hop collective formed in Newport in 2000. Their deadpan accounts of South Wales life reached a wider audience through the single “Guns Don’t Kill People Rappers Do” and the album Greatest Hits; “Your Mother’s Got a Penis” and “Half Man Half Machine” are also central songs in their catalogue. In 2005, the group performed at Glastonbury Festival, part of a live history built around a large crew of MCs delivering comic rap over programmed beats. Goldie Lookin Chain have also appeared at the Reading and Leeds Festivals.
