Goldmeister are a German duo formed by singer Chris Dunker and pianist and producer Phil Ohleyer. They recast German hip-hop and pop in the language of 1920s swing, recording versions of songs such as “Sie ist weg,” “Jein” and “Dickes B” for the album Alles Gold. Goldmeister brought the Alles Gold repertoire to the stage with Dunker on vocals, Ohleyer at the piano and a live band. They later built a theatre concert programme around Willkommen in den Zwanzigern!, extending the same swing treatment to another set of German songs.
