Golec uOrkiestra is a Polish folk-pop band formed in 1998 in Milówka by twin brothers Łukasz and Paweł Golec. Its music brings highland folk instruments and brass into pop and rock songs, including “Lornetka,” “Ściernisco,” “Słodycze” and “Pędzą konie.” In 2001, Golec uOrkiestra performed at the Vatican for Pope John Paul II. Appearances at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole followed, and the band later marked its twentieth anniversary with a concert at Spodek in Katowice.
