About Gorilla Biscuits

Gorilla Biscuits are an American hardcore punk band formed in New York City in 1987. Closely associated with the city’s youth crew and straight edge scenes, they are known for the 1988 EP Gorilla Biscuits, the album Start Today, and songs including “New Direction” and “Start Today.”

Gorilla Biscuits played CBGB and toured the United States and Europe before breaking up in 1991. They reunited for a show in 1997, then returned for a longer run of touring in 2005. They later performed at Groezrock in Belgium and Outbreak Fest in Manchester.
