Gothminister in Oslo

Gothminister is a Norwegian industrial metal band founded in 1999 by singer Bjørn Alexander Brem. Heavy guitars, electronic rhythms and gothic horror imagery shape releases including the debut album Gothic Electronic Anthems, Empire of Dark Salvation and Happiness in Darkness, whose title track became a signature song. A Halloween concert at Rockefeller in Oslo in 2001 marked the band’s live debut. Gothminister subsequently developed its stage work through European touring and performances at dark-music gatherings including Wave-Gotik-Treffen and M’era Luna. The concerts pair a full metal band with programmed electronics and a theatrical cast drawn from the group’s horror world. At the centre is Bjørn Alexander Brem in the Gothminister costume, singing amid masked monsters and other recurring characters.
