Grandaddy in Washington

Grandaddy is an American indie-rock band formed in Modesto, California, in 1992 around singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jason Lytle. Its mix of fuzzy guitars, analogue keyboards and lo-fi recording became closely associated with albums including Under the Western Freeway, The Sophtware Slump and Sumday, and songs such as “A.M. 180,” “The Crystal Lake” and “Now It’s On.” Grandaddy played Glastonbury Festival in 2003 while touring Sumday. The band disbanded in 2006, then reunited in 2012 for festival appearances that included Outside Lands in San Francisco and End of the Road in Dorset.
