Artists
Greensky Bluegrass is an American progressive bluegrass band formed in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 2000. The group brings extended improvisation and jam-band structures to acoustic string music; its best-known recordings include “Windshield” and the albums If Sorrows Swim, All for Money and Stress Dreams. The band has repeatedly headlined Red Rocks Amphitheatre, including multi-night engagements. Its concerts feature mandolin, banjo, dobro, guitar and upright bass, and songs often expand into instrumental improvisation. The group also curates its own music festival, Camp Greensky.
Hiss Golden Messenger is an American folk-rock and alternative-country project formed in California by singer-songwriter M.C. Taylor and multi-instrumentalist Scott Hirsch, later becoming based in Durham, North Carolina. Led by Taylor, the project is known for albums including Bad Debt, Lateness of Dancers, Heart Like a Levee and Terms of Surrender, as well as songs such as “Saturday’s Song” and “Biloxi.” In 2017, Hiss Golden Messenger supported Bon Iver on a run of North American dates and later performed at Newport Folk Festival. Tours behind Terms of Surrender, Quietly Blowing It and Jump for Joy brought a full band to clubs and theatres in the United States and Europe. The same catalog has also been presented in solo concerts by M.C. Taylor.
