Grzegorz Turnau is a Polish singer-songwriter, pianist and composer, born in Kraków in 1967. His music belongs to the Polish sung-poetry tradition, drawing on literary texts, chanson and jazz arrangements. He is known for songs including “Cichosza,” “Bracka,” “Między ciszą a ciszą” and “Naprawdę nie dzieje się nic,” as well as the albums To tu, to tam and Tutaj jestem.

In 1984, an appearance at Studencki Festiwal Piosenki led to his joining the Piwnica pod Baranami cabaret ensemble. He later brought his own repertoire to theatres and concert halls, performing as a singer and pianist with an accompanying ensemble. The live album Turnau w Trójce documents a 1994 Polish Radio concert in Warsaw.
