Haluk Levent in Ankara

Haluk Levent is a Turkish singer, songwriter and guitarist, born in Adana in 1968, whose music draws on Anatolian rock, folk and mainstream rock. His 1993 debut album, Yollarda, began a recording career associated with songs including “Elfida,” “Anlasana” and “Akdeniz Akşamları.” Since the 1990s, Haluk Levent has performed his catalogue at open-air stages, theatres and festivals across Turkey. He appears as the lead singer and guitarist of a rock-band lineup, placing his own songs beside interpretations rooted in Anatolian folk music. Turkey remains the centre of his concert work, while performances in Germany and the Netherlands have brought the same Turkish-language repertoire to audiences outside Turkey.
