Hana a Petr Ulrychovi are Czech siblings whose work together began in the 1960s. Their early music drew on beat and psychedelic rock, represented by the album 13 HP, while later recordings brought Moravian folk traditions into songs such as “Javory.” In the 1960s, they performed in the Brno groups Vulkán and Atlantis, where their early rock repertoire took shape. They founded Javory in 1974, making that ensemble the basis of their subsequent concert work, and later returned to the rock side of their catalogue with Javory Beat.
