Hank Williams, Jr. is an American singer-songwriter and musician, born in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1949. The son of Hank Williams, he began by performing his father’s repertoire before establishing his own country and Southern rock sound. His best-known songs include “Family Tradition,” “A Country Boy Can Survive” and “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight,” while key albums include Habits Old and New, The Pressure Is On and Born to Boogie. He made his Grand Ole Opry debut at age 11, singing songs associated with his father. Decades later, he headlined arenas and amphitheatres on the Rowdy Friends Tour; its 2012 edition featured Jamey Johnson.
Mark Wills is an American country singer, born in Cleveland, Tennessee, in 1973 and raised in Georgia. He became known through late-1990s and early-2000s songs including “Wish You Were Here,” “Don’t Laugh at Me,” “I Do (Cherish You)” and “19 Somethin’.” During a December 2018 appearance, Vince Gill invited him to become a member, and his formal induction followed in January 2019 at the Grand Ole Opry.
