Hanne Boel in Copenhagen

Hanne Boel is a Danish singer and songwriter, born in Copenhagen in 1957, whose music draws on soul, pop, rock and jazz. Her solo breakthrough came with the album Black Wolf, followed by Dark Passion; songs including “Don’t Know Much About Love” and “I Wanna Make Love to You” became central to her catalogue. Hanne Boel has performed at Roskilde Festival and toured extensively in Denmark and Norway, presenting her soul-oriented repertoire with a full band. In later years she has also performed in a trio format, accompanied by guitarists Jens Runge and Jacob Funch.
