Hans Theessink is a Dutch singer, guitarist and songwriter, born in Enschede in 1948 and long based in Vienna. He plays acoustic country blues and roots music, using fingerpicked guitar, banjo and a low baritone voice. His recordings include Journey On, Songs from the Southland and the Terry Evans collaborations Visions and Delta Time. 65 Birthday Bash documented his 2013 birthday concerts at Wiener Metropol; five years later, 70 Birthday Bash came from another series of performances there. His concert work has also included duo tours with Terry Evans. He has performed in the United States at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and the Chicago Blues Festival.
Ernst Molden is an Austrian singer-songwriter, guitarist and writer, born in Vienna in 1967. He writes chiefly in Viennese dialect, drawing on folk, blues, rock and the Wienerlied tradition. His recorded work includes Ho Rugg with Willi Resetarits, Walther Soyka and Hannes Wirth, and Schdrom with the Frauenorchester. Molden/Resetarits/Soyka/Wirth carried their collaborative repertoire into Austrian theatres and concert halls, while Ernst Molden has also performed alone with guitar and with the Frauenorchester. His appearances have ranged between the open-air stage at Theater am Spittelberg and the formal concert setting of the Wiener Konzerthaus.
