Hari Mata Hari in Novi Sad

Hari Mata Hari is a Bosnian pop band formed in Sarajevo in 1985 and led by singer Hari Varešanović. The group is known for melodic ballads including “Strah me da te volim,” “Prsten i zlatni lanac” and “Lejla.” In 1991, the band performed a major concert at Koševo Stadium in Sarajevo. Fifteen years later, the group represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens, where “Lejla” finished third, the country’s best result in the competition.
