Artist
Hatsune Miku is a Japanese virtual singer released by Crypton Future Media in 2007 as Vocaloid singing-voice software, using samples recorded by voice actress Saki Fujita. Her repertoire is created by many different producers and includes ryo’s “World Is Mine,” kz’s “Tell Your World” and Kurousa-P’s “Senbonzakura.” The first solo Hatsune Miku concert, Miku no Hi Kanshasai 39’s Giving Day, took place at Zepp Tokyo in 2010. The Miku Expo concert series began in Jakarta in 2014 and later mounted tours through North America and Europe. The concert production presents Hatsune Miku as an animated figure projected on a transparent screen. A live band performs the arrangements alongside her synthesized vocals. Hatsune Miku has appeared at the recurring Magical Mirai events in Osaka and Tokyo. In 2024, she also performed at Coachella in Indio.
