Heavysaurus is a German children’s heavy-metal band formed in 2017 as the German-language counterpart to Finland’s Hevisaurus. The group combines hard-rock songs with a cast of dinosaur characters and is known for the albums Rock’n’Rarr, Retter der Welt and Kaugummi ist mega!. Heavysaurus performed at Wacken Open Air in 2018, bringing its family-oriented concert to a metal-festival audience. They later toured theatres and concert halls under the Kaugummi ist mega! Tour banner, followed by the Pommesgabel Tour. A Heavysaurus concert is a full-band performance in dinosaur costumes. The onstage characters are singer Mr. Heavysaurus, guitarist Riffi Raffi, bassist Muffi Puffi, keyboard player Milli Pilli and drummer Komppi Momppi.
