Hedvig Mollestad Trio in Bergen

Hedvig Mollestad Trio is a Norwegian instrumental group formed in 2009 by guitarist Hedvig Mollestad, bassist Ellen Brekken and drummer Ivar Loe Bjørnstad. The trio plays jazz-rock shaped by progressive rock and heavy guitar riffs, and is known for albums including Shoot!, All of Them Witches and Black Stabat Mater. The trio played Roadburn Festival in Tilburg in 2013. Three years later, the concert album Evil in Oslo documented its live work, built around electric guitar, bass and drums. The group has also performed at the London Jazz Festival and Copenhagen Jazz Festival, extending its concert history well beyond Norway.
