Helena Vondráčková in Třeboň

Helena Vondráčková is a Czech pop singer born in Prague in 1947. She won the Hledáme nové talenty singing contest in 1964 and later joined Marta Kubišová and Václav Neckář in the trio Golden Kids. Her best-known songs include “Červená řeka,” “Malovaný džbánku,” “Sladké mámení” and “Dlouhá noc.” Golden Kids reunited for comeback concerts in 1994. She gave a solo concert at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2000, then marked her 70th birthday with the Helena 70 concert at O2 Arena. She performs most often in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where her Czech-language catalogue is widely known.
