Hélène Grimaud in Los Angeles

Hélène Grimaud is a French classical pianist, born in Aix-en-Provence in 1969. She is known for her interpretations of Brahms, Rachmaninoff and Beethoven, while her recorded catalogue also includes the albums Credo, Reflection, Water and Memory. In 1987, she gave a recital in Tokyo and performed with the Orchestre de Paris at Daniel Barenboim’s invitation. She made her Berlin Philharmonic debut under Claudio Abbado in 1995, then established a concert schedule divided between solo recitals and appearances with major orchestras. Her later recital engagements have included Carnegie Hall in New York.
