Henry Lee Summer is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Indiana who plays melodic heartland rock. He is best known for “I Wish I Had a Girl” from his self-titled album, while “Darlin’ Danielle Don’t” and “Hey Baby” also became signature songs. In the late 1980s, Summer toured as an opening act for Chicago and the Doobie Brothers, extending a live career built in Midwestern clubs. His later shows have included repeat appearances at the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis.
