Herbert Grönemeyer in Hanover

Herbert Grönemeyer is a German singer-songwriter and actor, born in Göttingen in 1956, whose music centers on rock and pop. He is known for the album 4630 Bochum and songs including “Männer,” “Bochum” and “Flugzeuge im Bauch,” while Mensch became another central work in his catalogue. He also played Lieutenant Werner in the film Das Boot. On the 2003 Mensch tour, he performed in stadiums across Germany. The 12 Tour followed in 2007 and the Schiffsverkehr Tour in 2011, extending a concert history built around large arenas and open-air venues. In 2015, he celebrated the anniversary of 4630 Bochum with concerts at the Ruhrstadion.
