Here Come The Mummies in New Braunfels

Here Come The Mummies are an American funk-rock band formed in Nashville in 2000. The members perform under stage aliases and keep their identities concealed beneath mummy costumes. Their horn-driven catalog includes the albums Terrifying Funk from Beyond the Grave, Single Entendre and Carnal Carnival, as well as songs such as “Pants” and “Freak Flag.” The band played the Voodoo Experience in New Orleans before performing at the Super Bowl Village in Indianapolis in 2012. Those appearances formed part of a long history of touring theatres, clubs and festivals around the United States. Here Come The Mummies perform as a full funk band built around vocals, guitars, bass, drums, keyboards and a horn section. Mummy costumes, stage aliases and double-entendre songs are established parts of the show. Beyond its Nashville base, the band has performed at Summerfest in Milwaukee and Musikfest in Bethlehem.
