Artists
Herman's Hermits are a British beat and pop-rock group formed in Manchester and fronted during their 1960s hit years by Peter Noone. They were part of the British Invasion, recording songs including “I'm into Something Good,” “Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter,” “I'm Henry VIII, I Am,” “No Milk Today” and “There's a Kind of Hush.” At the 1965 NME Poll-Winners Concert, they performed at Wembley Empire Pool during their run of transatlantic hits. Two years later, Herman's Hermits headlined a North American tour supported by The Who and the Blues Magoos, part of The Who's first extended American touring.
Peter Noone is a British singer and actor, born in Davyhulme, Lancashire, in 1947 and best known as the lead singer of the 1960s pop group Herman’s Hermits. His voice is heard on the group’s hits “I’m into Something Good,” “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter” and “I’m Henry VIII, I Am.” Herman’s Hermits toured the United States in 1965 during the British Invasion and returned for further American concert runs. The Who appeared as an opening act on the group’s 1967 US tour. In later decades, he brought the same catalogue to theatres and oldies concerts under the billing Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone.
