HG. Butzko, born Hans-Günter Butzko in 1965 near Düren, is a German cabaret performer known for solo programs including Butzkolonne, Macht Party, Verjubelt, Herrschaftszeiten and Menschliche Intelligenz. His honours include awards from the German Cabaret Prize, the German Small Arts Prize and the Bavarian Cabaret Prize, and he has appeared on the television programs Die Anstalt and Schlachthof. In 1987, he began working as an actor and director at theatres in several German cities before starting his solo cabaret career in 1997. He expanded that stage work in 2006 by co-founding the touring cabaret project Schlachtplatte.
