HGich.T is a German art and music collective formed in Hamburg in 1996 around the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg. Its work combines techno and Goa trance with absurdist lyrics, homemade video and performance art; “Hauptschuhle” and “Tutenchamun” are among its best-known tracks. HGich.T presents concerts as ensemble performances built around electronic tracks, costumes, spoken passages and recurring figures including Vhagvan Svami and Tutenchamun. The collective developed this format in German clubs and alternative cultural spaces, and has also performed at Fusion Festival.
