Hilltop Hoods in Perth

Hilltop Hoods are an Australian hip-hop group formed in Adelaide in 1991 by rappers Suffa and Pressure; DJ Debris later joined the best-known lineup. “The Nosebleed Section,” from the album The Calling, became their signature track, followed by songs including “Cosby Sweater” and “1955.” Their catalogue also includes The Hard Road, Drinking from the Sun and Walking Under Stars. In 2007, Hilltop Hoods presented material from The Hard Road: Restrung in concert after recording the orchestral project with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. The group revisited that format on the 2016 Restrung Tour, using orchestras and choirs for arena performances around Australia. The Great Expanse World Tour followed in 2019 and included arena dates at home plus concerts in Europe and North America. Their Australian arena tours included Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney and Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. They also performed at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
