About Hop Trop
Hop Trop is a Czech trio formed in 1979 by Jaroslav Samson Lenk, Ladislav Huberť Kučera and Josef Šroub Vondrák. The group plays tramping folk and country music, and is known for songs including “Tři kříže” and “Amazonka.”
Early in its history, Hop Trop received the performers’ prize at the Porta festival. The trio sustained the same core lineup across decades of concerts, performing with acoustic guitars, double bass and three-part vocals. In 2019, it marked its 40th anniversary with a concert at Lucerna in Prague.
