Hovvdy in Atlanta

Hovvdy is an American indie-rock duo formed in Austin in 2014 by Charlie Martin and Will Taylor. Their understated sound draws on lo-fi rock and slowcore, and their albums include Taster, Cranberry, Heavy Lifter, True Love and the self-titled Hovvdy. In 2022, Hovvdy opened dates for Dayglow on the People in Motion Tour, bringing the duo into larger North American rooms. Their 2024 headline run behind Hovvdy returned them to clubs and theatres, including New York’s Bowery Ballroom.

Christian Lee Hutson is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Los Angeles whose music sits between indie folk and understated Americana. His best-known releases include the albums Beginners, Quitters and Paradise Pop. 10, as well as the songs “Northsiders” and “Lose This Number.” In 2019, Hutson played guitar in the touring band for Better Oblivion Community Center, the project led by Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst. He later opened for Bridgers on her Reunion Tour and played his own club dates behind Beginners and Quitters.
