Vanilla Ice is an American rapper born Robert Van Winkle in Dallas in 1967. He is best known for “Ice Ice Baby,” the first rap single to top the Billboard Hot 100, and the album To the Extreme. He later moved toward rap rock on Hard to Swallow and recorded “Ninja Rap” for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. The To the Extreme World Tour took him into arenas during the album’s success. In 2016, he joined Salt-N-Pepa, Coolio and Tone Loc on the I Love the ’90s Tour, placing his early hits in a multi-artist nostalgia show. He has also performed multiple times at the Gathering of the Juggalos.
Tone-Loc is an American rapper and actor from Los Angeles, born Anthony Terrell Smith in 1966. His gravelly voice became closely associated with the singles “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina,” both featured on his 1989 debut album, Loc-ed After Dark. The I Love the 90’s Tour brought Tone-Loc to amphitheatres and arenas as part of a rotating old-school lineup. His sets center on his best-known tracks, and those dates have paired him with performers including Vanilla Ice, Salt-N-Pepa and Coolio.
