I Promised the World are an American post-hardcore, emo and metalcore band formed in Denton, Texas, in 2020. The group previously performed as Sw!tch and Sinema before adopting its present name in 2025. Its releases include the EP After the Flatline, the album Fear of the Fall and a self-titled EP. I Promised the World have supported Deafheaven as part of their live work beyond Denton’s DIY scene. Their sets emphasize crowd participation and the communal conventions of hardcore shows. The band also joined a US tour with The Devil Wears Prada, Four Year Strong and Split Chain.
