Ian McNabb in Kinross-Shire

Ian McNabb is a British rock singer-songwriter and guitarist from Liverpool, best known as the frontman of new-wave band The Icicle Works. The group recorded “Love Is a Wonderful Colour,” “Birds Fly (Whisper to a Scream)” and “Understanding Jane.” His solo catalogue includes the 1994 album Head Like a Rock, which was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize and recorded with members of Crazy Horse. Ian McNabb began touring under his own name after the original group ended in 1991, performing solo acoustic dates and electric-band concerts. In 2006 he re-formed The Icicle Works for a run of UK shows, and he has since presented concerts under his own name as well as further performances by The Icicle Works.
