Il Divo in Zacatecas City

Il Divo is a multinational classical-crossover vocal group formed in the United Kingdom in 2003 by Simon Cowell. The original lineup united Swiss tenor Urs Bühler, Spanish baritone Carlos Marín, American tenor David Miller and French singer Sébastien Izambard. Operatic interpretations of pop songs such as “Regresa a mí” became the group’s hallmark, while the albums Il Divo, Ancora and Siempre established its repertoire. Il Divo began its first world tour in 2006 and performed “The Time of Our Lives” with Toni Braxton at the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Munich that year. In 2013, A Musical Affair was presented as a limited Broadway engagement at the Marquis Theatre before an international tour. The group later mounted the Amor & Pasión Tour and the Timeless Tour. The group filmed Live at the Greek Theater at the open-air Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and also presented its concert repertoire at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
