Ricardo Arjona in Aguascalientes

Guatemalan singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona, born in 1964, writes Latin pop and ballads built around narrative lyrics and everyday characters. Albums such as Animal Nocturno and Historias established songs including “Mujeres,” “Historia de taxi” and “Señora de las cuatro décadas”; “Fuiste tú,” recorded with Gaby Moreno, became another widely known work. The Metamorfosis World Tour brought material from Independiente to arenas and theatres, followed by the Viaje Tour. He later mounted the Circo Soledad Tour and the Blanco y Negro Tour, extending a concert history centered on Spanish-speaking audiences across the Americas. His productions have travelled well beyond Guatemala, including arena runs in Buenos Aires and concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York.
