Tanya Tucker & Wade Bowen in Austin

Tanya Tucker is an American country singer, born in Seminole, Texas, in 1958. She became known at 13 through “Delta Dawn” and followed it with songs including “What’s Your Mama’s Name,” “Would You Lay with Me (In a Field of Stone),” “Strong Enough to Bend” and “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane.” Her later work includes the 2019 album While I’m Livin’ and the song “Bring My Flowers Now.” At the Troubadour in Los Angeles in 2019, she performed While I’m Livin’ in full, and the concert was released as Live from the Troubadour. The Sweet Western Sound Tour followed in 2023, supporting the album of the same name. That October, Vince Gill formally inducted her into the Grand Ole Opry.

Wade Bowen is an American country singer-songwriter from Waco, Texas, whose work sits firmly in the Texas country and Red Dirt traditions. He began performing in Lubbock as the leader of West 84 and became known for songs including “God Bless This Town,” “Who I Am” and “Saturday Night,” as well as albums such as The Given and Solid Ground. Wade Bowen documented his stage work on Live at the Blue Light and Live at Billy Bob’s Texas, recorded at established country rooms in Lubbock and Fort Worth. He has also toured with Randy Rogers in the acoustic Hold My Beer and Watch This shows, a partnership that also produced the Hold My Beer albums. Bowen MusicFest brings his charity event to Waco in support of the Bowen Family Foundation. His Texas performances also include Gruene Hall in New Braunfels.
