Imperial Triumphant is an American avant-garde metal trio formed in New York City in 2005 by guitarist and vocalist Zachary Ezrin. The band plays dissonant black and death metal shaped by jazz harmony and the imagery of the city’s Art Deco era; its central albums include Vile Luxury, Alphaville and Spirit of Ecstasy. At Roadburn 2022 in Tilburg, Imperial Triumphant performed Alphaville in full. Later that year, the masked trio toured North America as support for Zeal & Ardor on a run that also featured Sylvaine.
