About Iris Hond
Iris Hond is a Dutch pianist and composer, born in Harderwijk in 1987. Her work encompasses classical piano, original instrumental music and interpretations of popular songs. Her recordings include the album Dear World, and her theatre repertoire has drawn on the music of Leonard Cohen and Ludovico Einaudi.
The theatre production Bewogen connected her piano music with stories gathered through concerts for homeless people. She later toured Dutch theatres with the string orchestra Kamerata Zuid in a programme devoted to Ludovico Einaudi.
