Artists
Iron & Wine is the recording name of American singer-songwriter Sam Beam, who debuted under the name with the 2002 album The Creek Drank the Cradle. His acoustic folk songwriting is known through albums including Our Endless Numbered Days and The Shepherd’s Dog, as well as songs such as “Naked as We Came” and “Flightless Bird, American Mouth.” In 2005, Iron & Wine and Calexico supported their collaborative EP In the Reins with a joint tour, combining Beam’s songs with the Arizona band’s arrangements. They reunited for the album Years to Burn in 2019 and toured the record together.
Ken Pomeroy is a Cherokee singer-songwriter from Moore, Oklahoma, who plays folk, alternative country and Americana. She released the EPs Minutes to Hours and Hallways, followed by the albums Christmas Lights in April and Cruel Joke. She also performed “Wall of Death” with Wilderado and James McAlister for the Twisters soundtrack. Ken Pomeroy began playing gigs at 13 and later toured as an opener for John Moreland. In 2024, she headlined the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival.
