Artist
islandman is a Turkish electronic trio led by Istanbul musician and producer Tolga Boyuk. The group plays psychedelic, downtempo electronica shaped by Anatolian melodies, guitar, synthesizers and percussion. Its catalogue includes the albums Rest in Space, Kaybola and Godless Ceremony>, as well as tracks such as “Agit” and “Future Days.” A filmed KEXP session at Trans Musicales in Rennes documented islandman’s live trio format, featuring electronic production, guitar and percussion. The group has also performed at Montreux Jazz Festival and Fusion Festival.
