Issac Delgado in Miami Beach

Issac Delgado is a Cuban singer born in Havana in 1962, known for salsa and timba shaped by son, jazz and bolero. He was a vocalist with NG La Banda before starting his solo career in 1991; albums including Dando la hora and Malecón, along with the song “Necesito una amiga,” established his catalogue. In 1983, he began performing professionally in Pacho Alonso’s orchestra, then joined NG La Banda in 1988 and sang on the group’s early timba recordings. After leaving in 1991, he formed his own orchestra and took that repertoire into international concert work. His solo concerts still include songs he first recorded with NG La Banda.
