Izïa in Paris

Izïa is a French singer-songwriter and actor born in Paris in 1990. The daughter of musician Jacques Higelin, she became known through the English-language rock albums Izia and So Much Trouble, then moved toward French pop and electronic rock on La Vague and Citadelle. Her best-known songs include “Let Me Alone,” “La Vague” and “Mon cœur.” In 2010, Izïa performed at Rock en Seine while touring her debut material with a full rock band. Concerts accompanying her later French-language records took her into theatres and larger halls, including L’Olympia during the cycle for La Vague. Les Vieilles Charrues brought her band show to Carhaix, while Les Francofolies de La Rochelle has featured her French-language repertoire.
