About J.A.R.
J.A.R. is a Czech funk and rap band formed in Prague in 1989. Built around musicians and vocalists including Roman Holý, Michael Viktořík, Oto Klempíř and Dan Bárta, the group is known for a brass-heavy sound and albums such as Homo Fonkianz, Armáda špásu and Eskalace dobra.
The band’s recurring 17 November concert in Lucerna’s Great Hall became a long-running part of its live history in Prague. Alongside that annual performance, J.A.R. has appeared at Colours of Ostrava and Rock for People.
