Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra is an American orchestra founded in 1949 and based in Jacksonville, Florida. Its programming covers classical repertoire, pops and film concerts, while annual performances of Handel’s Messiah and the First Coast Nutcracker are established parts of its season. The orchestra presents its main concert season at Jacoby Symphony Hall, including subscription programs, family concerts and special events. Beyond its home performances, it has appeared at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington.
