Jacob Banks in Copenhagen

Jacob Banks is a Nigerian-born British singer-songwriter raised in Birmingham whose music draws on soul, R&B and contemporary pop. His deep baritone is central to songs including “Unknown (To You),” “Chainsmoking” and “Slow Up,” while his major releases include the albums Village and Lies About the War. In 2013, he supported Emeli Sandé on her UK tour and played his first headline show at St Pancras Old Church in London. He later mounted the Village Tour following the release of that album, bringing his full-band performances to clubs and theatres, and his festival appearances have included Glastonbury.
