Jane Monheit is an American jazz singer, born in 1977 on Long Island, known for interpretations of standards, Brazilian music and traditional pop. Her best-known albums include her debut, Never Never Land, as well as Come Dream with Me and Taking a Chance on Love. In 1998, Jane Monheit finished second in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocal Competition. Her concert at the Rainbow Room was later filmed and released as Live at the Rainbow Room, and she went on to make repeated appearances at the Manhattan jazz club Birdland.
