Janne Schra in Nijeveen

Janne Schra is a Dutch singer-songwriter, born in Laren in 1981, whose music moves between jazz-pop and indie pop. She first became known as the lead singer of Room Eleven, the group behind songs including “Hey Hey Hey!” and “Come Closer” and the album Six White Russians and a Pink Pussycat. She later recorded as Schradinova before releasing solo albums under her own name, including Janne Schra and Ponzo. Room Eleven recorded a concert at Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam for the release Live in Carré and also performed at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. Schra subsequently took her own material into Dutch clubs and theatres, performing with a band and appearing under her own name at North Sea Jazz.
