About Japanese Breakfast
Japanese Breakfast is an American indie-pop project created by singer, songwriter and guitarist Michelle Zauner in 2013. Its music moves through dream pop, indie rock and electronic pop, and the albums Psychopomp, Soft Sounds from Another Planet and Jubilee established the project’s identity. “Be Sweet” became one of its best-known songs.
The Jubilee Tour began in 2021 and developed into an extensive run of North American and European concerts. In 2022, the band performed at Coachella and Glastonbury before headlining Radio City Music Hall in New York.
Japanese Breakfast performs as a full band built around vocals, guitars, keyboards and percussion. The concert arrangement of “Paprika” culminates in Michelle Zauner striking a gong.
