Jari Sillanpää is a Finnish singer, born in Ludvika, Sweden, who performs pop and iskelmä. He is known for his self-titled debut album and songs including “Satulinna,” “Kaduilla tuulee” and “Takes 2 to Tango.” In 1995, he won the Tangomarkkinat singing contest in Seinäjoki and began his recording career soon afterward. He gave a concert at Helsinki Olympic Stadium in 1998, then represented Finland at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul.
