Jason Boland & The Stragglers in Tulsa

Jason Boland & The Stragglers are an American country band formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma, in 1998. Their music sits in the Red Dirt and Texas-country tradition, led by Jason Boland’s songwriting and a full-band sound featuring fiddle and steel guitar. They are known for songs including “Pearl Snaps,” “Somewhere Down in Texas” and “Comal County Blue,” as well as albums such as Pearl Snaps, Somewhere in the Middle and The Light Saw Me. The 2002 concert album Live and Lit at Billy Bob’s Texas documented the band’s early repertoire at the Fort Worth honky-tonk. They returned to the live-album format in 2010 with High in the Rockies, assembled from a run of performances in Colorado.
