Jason Lyle Black is an American pianist, composer and entertainer known as the Backwards Piano Man, a nickname drawn from his routine of playing while seated with his back to the keyboard. His repertoire includes original piano pieces and arrangements of film, Disney and Broadway music, while Piano Preludes is among his recorded works. The concert production From Blockbusters to Broadway: 100 Hits of Stage & Screen has taken his solo piano performance to theatres around the United States. His backward-facing routine is also the centerpiece of his stage show The Backwards Piano Man.
