Javier Perianes in Cadiz

Javier Perianes is a Spanish classical pianist, born in Nerva in 1978. His repertoire is particularly associated with Manuel de Falla, Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Schubert, whose music features prominently in his concerts and recordings. He received Spain’s National Music Prize in 2012. Javier Perianes has appeared at the BBC Proms as an orchestral soloist and has performed with the Vienna Philharmonic, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. His recital engagements have included Carnegie Hall and Wigmore Hall, while his concerto work has brought him together with conductors including Daniel Barenboim and Gustavo Dudamel. His festival appearances have included the Lucerne Festival, the Festival International de Piano de La Roque d’Anthéron and the Granada Festival. He has also performed at the Ravinia Festival.
